RESPONSIBILITIES : Each season we look at the emerging trends and interpret them to suit our customer. As a designer it is my job to understand the key items, as well as the looks and silhouettes, and develop appropriate and desirable products for my department. Being in retail you have to be adaptable, know your customer and of course keep up to date with what's new. 

CAREER PATH : My career path has been varied to be honest! I graduated in 2012 having done a few work experience placements. After I graduated I interned with various companies including a young womens brand and swimwear. Initially I wasn't sure if I wanted to be a product designer, gaining industry experience in different companies really opened my eyes to all the different jobs you can do. From there I got a job with a Danish womenswear brand and from there to M&S.
